Finally, they travel to Nevarro to claim the homestead promised to them by Greef Karga. Din Djarin and Grogu then travel first to meet with Carson Teva to secure case-by-case contract employment for Din with the New Republic and to acquire parts to fix IG-11. First, Din formally adopts Grogu, cementing their familial relationship and also Grogu's place within the Children of the Watch. The final act of the finale shows Din and Grogu finally able to bask in the support of their found family. However, throughout the series, Din and Grogu have amassed a loyal family of their own willing to support them on their adventures. The series does have an overarching plot with high stakes, and the finale does mainly focus on the Mandalorians reclaiming Mandalore from the Empire. At the series' beginning, Din was in some contact with his cohort, but he mainly worked alone. Throughout The Mandalorian, Din Djarin has been on a similar path.
